21st Century Diversity Recruitment Workshop

Jul 20th 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Eclipse Center - 3 Eclipse Center, Beloit, WI

Recruiting diverse candidates to bring a variety of perspectives helps strengthen our communities and public service organizations. By making a few changes to reduce barriers in the recruitment process, we can diversify our workforce for the benefit of all our communities. We are pleased to introduce a workshop from Firefighter’s ABC’s to learn how to encourage diversity in fire and public safety sectors.

You are invited to join the City of Beloit for the 21st Century Diversity Recruitment Workshop at the Eclipse Center, 3 Eclipse Center, Beloit, WI on Friday, July 20th, 2018 from 8a.m. – 5 p.m.  The Firefighter’s ABC’s Workshop is presented by:  Russell G. Hayden, Founder

We encourage representatives from all fire service, educational and support organizations to attend this workshop.  It is imperative that our workforce reflect the diverse communities in which we serve.  We can all achieve this goal by proactively recruiting for diversity and encouraging accessibility to the job hiring process.  The cost of the workshop per organization is $185  for the first four attendees and $30 for additional attendees. The workshop is free for high school district staff, college staff, and ethnic outreach representatives. This workshop is not designed for candidates seeking a career in the fire service; it is about being encouraging diversity in every type and level of employment in the public safety sector.

Those interested in attending can obtain the full flyer and registration via the Firefighter’s ABC’s web site: www.firefightersabcs.com.  Please submit your registration to:  accounts@firefightersabcs.com

We encourage attendees to bring a laptop or iPad for web site and review portions of the workshop.  WIFI access will be available.  This is an 8-hour workshop and lunch will not be provided, enclosed you will find a list of local restaurants available to you.  You may also bring a bag lunch if you desire.

Please share the information for this workshop with your network of people; we encourage attendance from any agency interested in developing a diverse recruitment plan.  If you are not able to attend this session and/or you would like additional information, please contact Russell Hayden at Firefighter’s ABC’s directly at:  RussellHayden@FirefightersABCs.com
